Penmanship Award Goes To
10 year-old Without Hands---Nicholas Maxim won an award for penmanship. What makes this story noteworthy is that Nicholas was born without hands or lower arms.
----His mother is amazed at the determination Nicholas shows in all he does. ‘’He has a very high work ethic.’’
---In typical fashion, the 10 year old doesn’t see what all the hoopla is about. To him he just entered a contest.
---If his prime concern was how he looked to other people, he may have a whole different ''take'' on the situation. He seems very well adjusted and handles his situation well. It seems as if he accepted life as it is...instead of trying to make a lot of unnecessary changes.
