Bree Walker, San Diego Women's Hall of Fame, 2010 Spirit

---Her story reminds me of my own...though Bree Walker is certainly more successful. I may have seen her a time or two, but never realized that she was dealing with a deformity. It goes to show you that you can emphasize what you want for the most part. In another video, she alludes to the non-disabled as those who have yet to discover their own disability. It very much confirms the fact that we ALL have something that we would rather not have. But, the upshot of this is that there is everything to learn and gain from facing it...as opposed to always denying its existence. Your own salvation is wrapped up in your own attitude toward this deformity or however it shows itself on you. Sometimes it is just the idea that you have to be perfect to survive. It is more obvious that facing these little imperfections has a wisdom that is lacking in those who busy themselves in trying to hold ALL the aspects of their ''perfection'' together.
